The Sauder Heritage Hill Computer Credenza. I’m here to help you with your home office furnishings, focusing on a piece that blends functionality with classic design: the Sauder Heritage Hill Computer Credenza. This isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s also about sturdy craftsmanship and a design that promotes efficiency in your workspace.

Sauder Heritage Hill Computer Credenza – Classic Cherry Finish – Review

I opened my business working off an old, antiquated desk from who knows how long ago. Half of the top was taken over by shelves that I didn’t even need, and there was barely enough room for my legs when I sat in my chair. Being in business was new to me but I found out quickly that I needed a new desk!

One of the things I did know was that I didn’t want to have to spend too much money on start-up costs. Especially since I was going to be working from home. I needed a desk that was high quality, yet affordable.

I found and purchased the Sauder Heritage Hill Computer Credenza and here’s my review.

Heritage Hill Computer Desk Appearance

I purchased the classic cherry finish even though I’m not usually the cherry finish type. This one had the deep, darker undertones that made it more appealing to me. It also has just enough gloss to make it shine without the blinding light reflection that high gloss can produce. I very much like the nickel-colored handles, as opposed to gold or bright silver.

If you’re on the hunt for furniture that strikes a balance between elegance and practicality, the Sauder Heritage Hill line deserves your attention. Sporting a traditional aesthetic with its Classic Cherry Finish, this credenza can serve as the focal point of any room. But it doesn’t stop at good looks. Let’s talk about the design elements: a spacious desktop for your computer setup, concealed storage compartments, and neatly organized file drawers – all tailored to keep your office essentials within arm’s reach yet out of sight.

Functionality

The materials and construction are where the Sauder Heritage Hill really shines. Made from engineered wood, it combines durability with a sleek, polished appearance. Plus, the classic cherry finish isn’t just about the warm, inviting hue; it’s also practical, masking minor scratches and wear that inevitably happen over time. This piece is built to endure the daily grind while maintaining its sophisticated look.

The functionality is far superior to what I had previously. That’s not saying much, I had mentioned earlier what I started with. This desk (credenza) has plenty of leg room. I’m actually sitting at it now to write this article. I’d say I have an easy 6 inches on each side of my legs and it’s plenty deep enough that I’m not cramped.

The top has plenty of workspace and with my monitor and keyboard in the middle I have a good 18 inches on each side of me to use as needed. Coffee cup, files, pens, etc. You get the picture. It also fits my mouse pad, which I use specifically to not scratch the desk (credenza).

To the right is a cabinet with a nice amount of open space where you can place a shelf at any level you choose. The space is by far large enough to house a desktop and keep paper for your printer on the top shelf above it. Those are just examples. Modify it as you see fit. To the left are 3 drawers which are surprisingly deep and can actually hold quite a few items.

In the middle is a pull-out drawer for the keyboard. I love having the option to work off the desktop, or just extend it out and work from a more relaxed position. It all comes down to preference. Choose something that fits well with you and your lifestyle, right?

Well, if you’re after something that can blend with different decor styles and offer day-to-day functionality, you might have found it. So, this brings the question – is it all positive in the realm of the Sauder Heritage Hill Computer Credenza, or are there aspects that might not fit the bill for everyone? In the next section, I’ll walk you through the pros and cons, giving you a comprehensive look from a user perspective.

Evaluating the Sauder Heritage Hill Credenza: Pros and Cons

I’m here to help you weigh the benefits and potential drawbacks of the Sauder Heritage Hill Computer Credenza. This isn’t just about its stylish appearance; it’s also about practicality and usability.

First up, let’s talk pros. The credenza boasts ample storage space, complete with drawers and shelves designed to organize your office essentials effectively. Its slide-out keyboard and mouse shelf are a user-friendly touch, providing a clutter-free desk surface. Plus, the Classic Cherry finish gives it a timeless elegance that meshes well with many home or office décors.

Another highlight is the cable management system. You’re going to find out just how easy it is to keep your cords tidy and out of sight, contributing to a more organized workspace. The credenza also features a sturdy build, courtesy of the engineered wood, known for its durability and resistance to wear and tear.

But let’s switch gears and consider some cons. If you’re not a fan of flat-pack furniture, be aware that this Sauder Computer Furniture requires assembly, which can be time-consuming. Although the instructions are clear, the process might be a little daunting for some.

Also, it’s important to recognize that while the engineered wood is sturdy, it doesn’t quite match the robustness and prestige of solid wood furniture. For some, this difference is a deal-breaker, especially if you prefer the latter’s aesthetic and feel.

I’d also point out the size of the credenza. While its spacious nature is great for organization, make sure you have adequate space in your room to accommodate it without cramping your style.

In terms of user experience, some folks might find traditional pulls and knobs more to their liking than the credenza’s contemporary hardware. This is a subjective preference, but definitely something to ponder.

In the next section, I’m going to break down how this piece of furniture stands in terms of value for the money and how it sizes up against the competition, making sure you have all the info you need to make an empowered decision.

Value for Money and Market Comparison

I’m going to lay it out for you—why the Sauder Heritage Hill Computer Credenza is a standout choice when you’re weighing value for your dollar against other options in the market.

Let’s compare prices. In doing so, you’ll see that Sauder offers a surprisingly competitive price point, especially when you factor in the build quality and the elegant design of the classic cherry finish.

Durability is key, and this credenza doesn’t disappoint. It’s an investment that’s going to endure, saving you from frequent replacements. The solid build, paired with resistant materials, means it will handle the daily grind with grace.

So, who should be eyeing the Sauder Heritage Hill Desk? If you’re looking for a mix of traditional style, practicality, and enduring quality without breaking the bank, this credenza is calling your name.

Installation Time: 3-4 Hours

The product came in one box, just under 120 lbs. It included an instruction manual, hardware, and glue. My only complaint is the small amount of glue included. I needed to add more. Good thing I had it on hand.

The installation instructions were easy to follow, and the individual parts were clearly labeled. Total installation time 3-4 hours.

Durability

Now that it’s all assembled, I can say that I’m pleased with the sturdiness of the desk (credenza). It has no wobble whatsoever and has just enough lip on the trim to make moving it easier. Unlike others I have experienced, it would take a lot for this one to pull apart at the seams and eventually break.

NOTE: This credenza fits perfectly with the Dell Inspiron 27 7710 All in One desktop computer. See it here at Amazon.com. Read our Dell Inspiron 27 7710 All in One Review for more details.
